The Lord showed me a book with empty pages. There is material available but it is not educating the children, it is not what is needed. The teaches are teaching but the children are not understanding. Changes need to be made in this area and standards need to be raised.

There will be a new breed of inspectors: Inspectors were stopped from going into schools to do inspections but a new group is being brought out to inspect the schools. They are not going to be well received. They will be stoned and chased. The school gates will be locked. The pressure from the Education Department is going to get the breakthrough because of the need for schools to be inspected and overseen. Many people who should be out inspecting are sitting behind desks trying to just make phone calls and send e-mails. They are going to get out from behind their desks and have a visual look at what they should be inspecting. They are going to be given an increase in their salaries, risk money for what they do. That will make them inspectors out in field, it is not going to be a popular job but it is going to be worthwhile and necessary.
Research in South Africa: I think that research funders are re-evaluating their funding models. There is a real understanding of how important it is for this nation, so funds will be reallocated to this area and in a sense this will be an area of prosperity. Basic research and even applied research will have far more money available.
Integration is coming between the church, business and investment, but this does not mean the church is a business. Due to the relational component that integrates these groups they are moving much, much closer together, to such a degree that you almost can’t see a difference between them. What it is really depicting is the body functioning together in unity and it’s got nothing whatsoever to do with running the church as a business. It’s got to do with the effect of the church in the business and investment realm. This has been happening in the last 8-10 years. The philosophy and related fears behind keeping church and state separate is failing. These realms are interwoven as is unity in the body of Christ. Fear based ideologies should not stop these sectors moving closer together especially in terms of spreading the gospel to the utter-most parts of the earth. This could be part of the engine and thrust to get to the utter-most parts of the earth.
South Africa is tapering towards the end of a period of window dressing by the government. In 2014 a phase will be entered whereby things will be less sinister. We will not have to ask what the ulterior motives are. The motive behind reducing the number of provinces will not be a sinister motive to gain votes; it will be a very practical thing. We should caution the citizens not to prematurely bad mouth things that are happening, but to firstly discern what the Lord is doing. I feel there will be an increase in persons who have Godly motives in government, following the next election. Some of them are current political figures, but a number of them are waiting in the wings; it seems a slightly younger generation. I feel that it is a very slow start to a restorative process in our nation, but that does not mean that we must hold back from the mandates the Lord has given this nation in terms of Africa. There is a lot more going on behind the scenes than anybody thinks and a lot of good, much more strategic planning and much more inclusiveness. This is not about political point scoring between parties. This is a broadening of what the Lord has showed about the borders and the boundaries breaking down between churches. That was a precursor of Him wanting a flow in and through the broader society and political arena. The will for unity through the joint purpose of our nation is greater than before.
The private education initiatives and private education organisations and centers have to, in the very least, triple during 2012. This will not be frowned upon by government. Included in these private initiatives will be schools, private tuition, extra classes, specific remedial schools, courses etc. Many people have been well trained but do not have adequate business skills. They have had the vision but lack business soft skills. They are going to be challenged again to get this off the ground. The market for this is very big.
Encourage true educators in this time. They are going to work harder than they have ever worked before but this will be energized by the Grace of God. They are few, but the Lord will give them powerful ways of being able to do 3, 4 or even 5 times more than they have ever done. They need to be told about this so that they don’t start feeling sorry for themselves.
A greater drive will take place amongst the young people to get trained as teachers and educators. For quite some time this was an area not a lot of young people were interested in. But a new generation is rising up that has a vision for this field. Some will study in another field and then decide to go into teaching. The government will create incentives in 2012 to encourage students to study teaching.
The community will get more involved in education. Private individuals might even be invited to be guest lectures at schools to bring an extra dimension to the education children get at school.
A new relationship is going to develop between the secondary and the tertiary education systems. Universities might adopt a school to help the school to prepare the pupils for university and bridge the wide gap between the school and university standards. Some university lecturers might become involved in the teaching at the schools (e.g. training teachers and assisting in teaching). This will be a good model that is pioneered. All of this will take place in partnership with business.
A new concept is going to grow in South Africa: School campuses in main city centers. There is already someone that has a vision for this. This will be a private initiative that teams up with the education department. This new concept seems like a combination of a private school combined with a public school integrated with business interests. The ‘trial run’ for this model might start up in Johannesburg. This model has the potential to spread to all the main centers in South Africa and become highly successful. The campuses will have dormitories, sports facilities and class facilities. Home schooled children will be able to come from outside and take part in certain classes or sports activities. These campuses will have the ability to integrate different school models into one facility. Campuses will cater mainly for the higher grade school years. The way it will be structured and run will be gleaned from university models. It will be of a high standard. People will come from everywhere to put their children into these training facilities. Universities will be eager to take in pupils from these institutions as they are well educated and prepared for a successful tertiary education.
There will be tertiary institutions getting involved with the teachers in the schools, it will result in the teachers again having a thirst for knowledge and a desire to further their studies and to develop a second and even a third skill. Currently there is “limpness” in the schools this speaks about a lack of passion, but the passion will return for the love of knowledge. This will happen because of the overflow from the tertiary institutions to the schools on many levels.
Private education; I feel they are going to implement a completely new curriculum and they will announce it by the end of 2012 for all the schools, from small grade 1 up to whatever form, because I just see them scribbling and there are these overseas people coming to assist and a whole new curriculum.
They are looking at the head of education (Ms. Matsie Angelina Motshekga) and I feel they are looking to replace her but she has started a renewal process that is not complete and they must keep her.
